Assistant Business Relationship Manager – Port Moresby
About the Role:
The position is based in Port Moresby and reports to the Business Relationship Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the “end to end” application movement process, starting from lodgment by Insurance Advisors, to scanning, uploading, and tracking applications by the Business Relationship Consultants within expected deadlines.
Key Deliverables:
- Assist BRM to drive New Business targets with the insurance advisors and ensure that monthly, quarterly and annual targets are achieved.
- Application processing – Ensure Insurance Advisors’ individual weekly planners are monitored and reviewed every week.
- Regularly conduct one-on-one interviews in supporting the BRM with the Insurance Advisors and carry out periodic performance reviews and assessment during the financial year.
- Provide support in training and refreshers in consultation with the Sales Training Officer as and when a request is submitted to sales management team.
- Manage application review and tracking process with the Business Relationship Consultant and ensure that quality standards and minimum requirements for submitted proposals are met.
- Provide support to the BRM in tracking sales performance, lead generation follow-ups, monitor all presentation registers and ensuring timely conversion of prospects into issued policies.
- Liaise with the internal departments such as Finance, Underwriting, Premium management and Quality Assurance to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Manage and attend to administrative duties, relatable to new business, change cover applications and documentation processing
- Assist in preparing periodic reports on business performance, customer feedback and market trends and report to management.
- Other responsibilities as directed by BRM and Management
Essential Qualifications, Professional/Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Commerce;
- Prior sales experience is an advantage;
- Proven leadership capabilities and ability to lead a diverse group of individuals to achieve a common goal;
- Excellent skills in Industry and Product Knowledge as well as Sales & Service Processes;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a good command of verbal and written communication;
- Proficient skills in compliance, legislation, policies and procedures;
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint);
- Excellent skills in Record Management;
- Must possess a valid driver’s license;
- Proactive, analytical, and a self-starter, who can work under minimum supervision;
- 5 years sales and/or management experience preferably in the Insurance industry (preferably life insurance industry).
