BSP Life PNG Rewards Winners in ‘Movement is Medicine’ Challenge

Jul 22, 2026

Five winners of K1, 000 were announced from BSP Life’s ‘Movement is Medicine Facebook Challenge’ for actively promoting healthy lifestyles through social media.

The winners are Steven Salin, Samuel Jufauri, Nick Meata, Gerard Aunda, and Lilach Efore, whose entries were among the most engaging and popular submissions in the nationwide campaign.

Launched in June 2026, the Movement is Medicine challenge was designed to encourage Papua New Guineans aged 18 and above to embrace physical activity and healthy living. The initiative forms part of BSP Life PNG’s broader commitment to raising awareness about health and wellness, particularly among younger Papua New Guineans.

Participants were invited to submit a 30-second to two-minute video featuring themselves, family members, or friends taking part in physical activities such as walking, running, dancing, exercising, or playing sport. Videos were shared via the BSP Financial Group Facebook page, with the top 5 entries receiving the highest levels of engagement and subsequently verified as winners.

BSP Life PNG Country Manager, Nilson Singh, congratulated the winners and thanked all participants for embracing the campaign’s core message, “Congratulations to our winners and thank you to everyone who participated in the challenge. It was encouraging to see so many Papua New Guineans sharing positive examples of healthy and active lifestyles. Movement plays a vital role in maintaining good physical and mental wellbeing. Through this challenge, we hope participants not only improved their own health but also inspired their families, friends, and communities to make physical activity a regular part of their lives.”

The campaign was inspired by concerning trends observed within BSP Life PNG’s claims experience. In 2025, BSP Life PNG recorded 110 death claims between the ages of 28 and 36. These claims were attributed to a range of causes, including illness and accidents, reinforcing the importance of maintaining healthy lifestyles and seeking regular medical care.

As a business committed to Championing Prosperity across the South Pacific, BSP Life PNG recognises the important role it can play in promoting healthier lifestyles and helping communities make positive choices that support long-term wellbeing.

The Movement is Medicine challenge is one of several initiatives aimed at encouraging greater health awareness and fostering a culture of wellness throughout Papua New Guinea.
